WEDGE

Materials  :  Ash wood, mdf, glue and clear lack.

Dimensions :  Hight  110cm.  Seat  38cm.  Width  60cm.

This is the first chair I ever made and it was build during my apprenticeship to become a cabinetmaker at Technical School.

I wanted to build a chair that could really challenge my skills and where you could feel a high quality of craftmanship combined with high comfort.

I thought it would be interesting to make the chair with pieces that have nice details that make it possible to assemble it.

Therefore I built a chair consisting of two similar sides with four sticks connecting them to each other by using wedges in each end.

The seat and back have been shaped by using the same piece of veneer so it follows the human body and they slide into to sides on tracks.
